Digital Decoders

digital Decoder

These decoders are integrated circuits that move data between inputs and outputs.

These Digital decoders vary in terms of supply voltage, operating current, propagation delay and power dissipation.

In digital electronics this would mean that a decoder is a multiple-input, multiple-output logic circuit that converts coded inputs into coded outputs, where the input and output codes are different. e.g. n-to-2n, BCD decoders.

Digital decoders and digital demultiplexers move data between inputs and outputs. In the case of digital decoders, the coded information is translated into familiar or uncoded formats.

A digital decoder system designed to receive audiovisual data and applications through a delivery system from one or a plurality of application broadcasters comprises a registration database to store characteristic data from at least one specific application, each specific application providing from a determined application broadcaster. An application launcher is connected to the registration database and allows to select and launch one of the specific applications corresponding to the characteristic data stored in the registration database.
